Family Hospital & Family Hospital Level 5

This is a mid-range health insurance cover aimed at families, or if you're planning a family and covers a range of services, including pregnancy, IVF and sterility reversal. What am I covered for?

Family Hospital includes the following:

• Pregnancy related services
• Sterility reversals - male and female
• Childhood diseases
• Burns
• Poisoning
• Cardio-thoracic procedures
• Ambulance transport
• Travel and accommodation relating to a hospitalisation
• Total Health programs
• Disease management appliances such as blood pressure monitors
• Midwife assisted home births.
• Disease prevention, health management, chronic disease management and hospital substitute programs
• Doctor health checks and Healthy Heart checks

Restricted Services

We'll pay the default benefit only for accommodation for restricted services and services not covered by Medicare:

• Hip and knee joint replacements
• Dialysis
• Cataract surgery
• Cosmetic surgery where not considered medically necessary
• Services not covered by Medicare.
